A collection of eight articles by Rosenbach that were published in the "Saturday Evening Post" in the first part of 1927. The 9th article was published in the Atlantic Monthly in October 1927. Complete with a number of b/w photographs including A. Edward Newton, other booksellers and auction autographs. Many illustrations and photographs. One interesting chapter by Rosenbach is entitled "A Million Dollar Bookshelf". Gold topedges, uncut bottom edges and foreedges. A must-have for anyone interested in book collecting.

Pages are clean (unmarked) but yellowed with age. Hinges are slightl creased but atill secure. Text block is slightly pulling away from boards (possibly reglued)but still fairly tight. Boards are scuffed/soiled with moderate rubbing to extremities, corners frayed, bumping to head/heel of spine. Nice reading copy. . Reprint in Year of Publication. Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

This the is the first 'trade' edition, but is also signed and dated on slip tipped in at the copyright page. A very good, generally clean and neat hard cover over all with minor shelf wear; binding tight, but paper lightly yellowed. In a very good minus, moderately worn dust jacket, BUT with cloth tape applied to the blank reverse at the top and bottom edges.
