Discreetly ex-lib-- having been deaccessioned from the Springfield, MA public library-- with one very small tag on the bottom of the spine and an inoffensive bookplate on inside cover and several small, unobtrusive stamps. Dark blue cloth over half vellum. Thick folio, 490 pgs., with 67 handsome plates. Top edge gilt, fore-edge deckled.

(Lovely later book-style slipcase, with matching designs to corners and spine. Cream velure inners.) Vellum darkened with some minor rubbing to edges and corners, corners slightly bumped. Some minor handling marks to cloth on boards with a couple of minor surface bumps and scratches on rear. Later blue cloth reinforcements between inner hinges. Endpapers and prelims with some mild foxing spots. Neat pencil inscription to front “Lady Beigne (?), 13 Pembroke Road, Kensington.” Page edges uncut.
