Andersen was born in Odense on April 2, 1805. From his native Denmark his fairy tales wandered out over the whole world and won him a place among the greated masters of imaginative writing. This is a new translation by Keigwin, well-known English translator of Danish literature straight from the Danish text under the supervision of Andersen Museum Director Svend Larsen. Dark blue boards with a white line along the edge, white lettering on the spine and a white flower on the front. Light blue tint to the tiptops of the pages. The dust jacket has very little shelfwear and is in new mylar. Tan background with red and blue lettering and a portrait of the author on the front and a map on the back. The slipcase is red and blue wiht white lettering and the same portrait of the author on one side. Very little shelfwear.
