Humphrey Milford; Oxford University Press, 1920. Hardcover. Acceptable/Acceptable. 1920. No Edition Remarks. 276 pages. Pictorial dust jacket over green cloth. Prize plate stuck to front free endpaper. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Occasional thumb-marking present. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Light tanning to spine and edges. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge wear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Notable water staining to all surfaces. Dark rubbing and marking to surfaces. Mild tanning to spine and edges.

Prize plate to front pastedown. Minor thumb marking, foxing and tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters, exposing netting and causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild rubbing, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft splitting and crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.
