London: The Architectural Press, 1965. Book. Good. Hardcover. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Brown hardcover with title in silver on spine. Condition: Good, with some foxing to endpapers. Previous owners bookplate on front endpaper and the front of a book token is attached to the front pastedown. Some light cockling to top edges of pages. Dustjacket condition: Poor to fair, generally shelfworn, with some large tears and some chips. 208pp. Many b/w illustrations. In this book the author explores the many complex factors that must be taken into account when designing a museum, and presents fifty important examples of museum architecture that were relatively recent at the time of publication (1965), including Jorgen Bo and Vilhelm Wohlert's Louisiana Museum near Copenhagen and Le Corbusier's National Museum of Western Art in Tokyo. The examples are accompanied by plans and illustrations..
