No title page, therefore no exact title, publication date or author. However, is pre-1800 and an Irish revision of a previously London-published edition. Front eps detached, loose and torn with po ink drawings, name, date 1806 & 7 and notes. First half of book paginated by hand. This is a plain alphabetical gazeetter with no maps or plates. Includes at the end The Dimensions and true figure of the earth determined and Chronological account of remarkable events since the birth of Christ, up to 1763, final page(s) missing.

Spine is cracked in half and front board is detached. Edges are bumped and boards are worn. Foxing to endpapers, but otherwise pages are age tanned but clean. Pull out hand coloured maps are creased but in good condition. A fascinating dictionary of the Known World. Unpaginated, but c 650 pages. 1808

One half brown calf, with brown marbled boards, with gilt title (Brooke's Gazetteer) on spine. Front and back covers are marked and corners are rubbed. Right hand edge of spine is cracked and has begun to separate. Internally, 2 of the folding maps slightly ruffled at top edges, o/w very good.
