Front board has embossed decorations. Head and foot of spine are lightly frayed. Bottom front corner shows slight wear and is lightly bumped. Owner's name in pencil on front endpaper. No other marks or stamps. Pages edges are speckled green. First 18 pages had very small dog ears at bottom that have been straightened but still show a light crease. Otherwise flawless interior text pages in two columns are on high quality coated paper illustrated with 112 full-page wood engravings. Tissue-covered frontispiece.
