The first published collection of verse by Dean Collins (1887-1969), Oregon poet, columnist, dramatist and critic. He was the son of Oregon pioneers, born in Dallas (Polk County), and attended Dallas College and the University of Oregon, where he edited the Oregon Monthly. His work was regularly seen in the Polk County Observer, the Oregonian, Portland Telegram, and Oregon Journal.
