An "autobiographical narrative" in experimental prose, defying the conventions of standard autobiography or memoir; the essay is narrated by a character named "D.," who was the main character, Demarest, of Aiken's first novel, Blue Voyage, in 1927. Binder's glue shadows at the joints; a near fine copy in a very good dust jacket with a crease to the rear panel and an open tear at the top edge there.
