VERY GOOD book in VERY GOOD unclipped dust jacket This book presents an account of four primitive tribes from rarely-visited parts of India - the Todas, the Gadabas, the Bondos and the Kanis. Three French architects visited, photographed and studied them in turn - becoming anthropologists and ethnologists during their study. The text compares each tribe with the others, and describing their life and customs. 80 photographic plates (some colour, mostly monochrone). It is a valuable document for any study of India.
