Dust jacket is near fine, crisp and clean, with light creasing at top edge. Blindstamp of former owner on front endpage. A book of drawings by Maarten van Heemskerck that translates as "Discovery of the City," referring to the many drawings of classical sculpture and architecture he made while traveling in Rome. He is known for his introduction of Italian art to the Northern Netherlands in the sixteenth century. Large, square folio. 121 pp. Text is in Italian only. Packed weight for this oversized book is about six pounds and will require additional postage if shipped priority or outside the U.S.
