A wonderful boxing title, by one of the most knowledgeable boxing writers ever. Contains a wonderful history of boxing in the first half of the 20thcentury. Fleischer had a very high regard for Jack Johnson and Jack Dempsey, and rates his top ten in every weight category. This copy is signed by Fleischer, dated February 24, 1959.

Nat Fleischer was the most prolific author/publisher in boxing founding Ring Magazine in 1922. "Mr Boxing" as he was known wrote a 5 volume history "Black Dynamite" being the first to write about African American boxers in detail. Included with the typescript are the long galley sheets noting directions to the printer. Comes with a copy of the printed first trade edition.
