In the publisher's scarce dust jacket, bright illustrations, chipping along top edge, a very good example. This work is signed by the author on the dust jacket and front free endpaper. Commander Mitsuo Fuchida (1902-1976) led the first wave aerial assault on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. His successful assault made him a national hero in Japan. He was wounded at the Battle of Midway and spent the rest of the war as a staff officer.
