Hall (1887-1951) includes accounts of his native Iowa village, time in a World War I prison camp while flying with the Lafayette Escadrille, and later visits to Papeete, Tahiti, and Iceland. The American first edition with its jacket is uncommon in commerce, and scarce in collectible condition. A very near Fine book in a dust jacket with the reverse neatly reinforced, paper colored red-orange to supplement minor jacket loss, else a Very Good jacket.
