London: Thomas Nelson & Sons. Very Good-. [1920]. First Edition. Hardcover. Quarto cream cloth. A large, circular plate mounted to the front. With twelve color plates by Blampied. There are bumps to the spine ends and corners. The corner tips are just showing at the corners. Some fraying to the lower spine end. Discoloration to the endpapers and first and last couple of leaves. There is a scratch to one plate. Very tight. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall .

This was Blampied first sizable book commission and he, and the publisher, were so pleased with his work that he signed his full name rather than his familiar "Blam." The book saw three later editions, none of which contain all of the artwork that appears in the first edition.
