Original publisher's blue cloth - gilt embossed to the spine and to the front board. The text supported by some photographic reproductions. A light bump to the head of the spine with slight associated creasing to the overlying jacket. A very light soil mark to the lower fore-edge. The jacket has not been price-clipped. A lovely, fresh, clean, tight near fine copy.

Gilt embossed lettering to the spine and front board. There is a light bump/bump to the head of the spine with a little creasing to the overlying wrapper. Slight bump to the tail of the spine. pp505-514 have some light creasing to the page corner tips, in no way affecting the text. Fresh and clean. Dust wrapper is not price clipped and has light shelf wear to the edges of the wrpaper. Clean and tight. A very good copy.

John Edward Poynder Grigg was a British writer, historian and politician. He was the 2nd Baron Altrincham from 1955 until he disclaimed that title under the Peerage Act on the day it received the Royal Assent in 1963. In a blue cloth binding with clipped dustwrapper. Externally smart with some light fading and bumping to the spine. With some wear to the edges of the dustwrapper. Internally firmly bound. With authors signature to the title page. Very Good Indeed
