HOVE, Sussex: Privately Published by Author, 1989 Laminated card covers, (Paperback)210 x 145 mm approx. 80 pp.24 half tone photo ilustrations and cartoon line drawing of CPO Vass. First published in 1986 the copy offered 1989 50th Anniversary Edition, History of the WW2 land based naval training centre for RNVR officers at Hove in Sussex with reminiscences. By 1945 of all the Royal Navy's commissioned personnel 88% were volunteer Reserve Officers of which HMS King Alfred trained over 22,500. Lord Haw Haw (German Radio propaganda) claimed they had sunk H.M.S.King Alfred! Very Good (Covers a little light general shelf soiling and rubbing.
