No DJ. Clean boards, bright gilt title to spine, publisher gilt worn.  Initials to f.f.e.p., tiny note to bottom margin p.96, illustrated in half-tone.  Otherwise very clean internally with little sign of use.  No other inscriptions or markings and not price clipped.

A history of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve form the late nineteenth century to the present day (1957), including accounts of wartime operations in the Mediterranean, the Second MTB flotilla at Hong Kong, minesweeping and mine disposal, and their role in the Fleet Air Arm. Photos include the Dieppe Raid (in which Cdr.
