In its original dust jacket, bumped along upper edge, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, a tad sun-faded over spine, mild stain on verso. Thomas Mann's writings in this volume include this three most famous long-short stories: Tonio Kruger, Death in Venice and Mario and the Magician, as well as episodes from The Magic Mountain, Joseph and his Brethren etc. With an introduction by E F Bozman.

Hardback. Everyman's Library. UK. 1940. 'Stories and Episodes' by Thomas Mann. This book is a Small format hardback with dj. Red dj is bright with the Eric Ravilious design to the front. Contains the novella 'Death in Venice'. There is a short closed tear to front lower tip and at spine. No loss. Otherwise this is a solid, unfaded dj with a very good spine showing titles clearly. Contents: clean and unmarked. This volume is rare in that laid in is the original 'Everyman' yellow fold around strap, giving the contents of the book. A solid item for the Everyman Library and shows very well on the shelf. Not exlib and packed and sent with care.
