The author was given permission to emigrate from Belgium shortly after the German army occupied Belgium and wrote this early account of the occupation, illustrated.

He was allowed to return to America at the end of October, 1940. An interesting analysis of life under German occupation. Illustrated with photographs. No marks in book, binding tight. Covers show edge wear, minor soiling, lightly bumped corners. Book condition Good.
