In this fanciful 1875 story, the paralyzed young Prince Dolor is given a magical travelling cloak by his fairy godmother. Though his legs don't work, the cloak allows him to move about and see the world. The author, Dinah Maria Mulock Craik ("Miss Mulock") was a prolific 19th-century author of children's stories. First published by Rand McNally, this edition features color illustrations by Hope Dunlap.
