Orange cloth boards stamped in black in illustrated jacket. Very good book with some light bumping to spine ends and along edges of boards in like jacket with chipping at head, heel, and corners and some toning to spine. Uncommon signed copy of this travel narrative from the philanthropist and writer, Neill James (1895-1994). This book details a projected six months' journey in Mexico which turned into four years after a fractured leg while climbing Mt. Popocatepetl. She recovered in the village of Ajijic which became her permanent home and where she later established an internationally renowned art center.
