It includes an interesting article on 20 Years of Indian Test Cricket by Vijay M Merchant, Tom Goddard Retires by David Moore and an early example of John Arlott's annual review of the year's cricket books. Very good, gilt faded and binding starting to crack but the text block is firm, spots to edges, internally bright and clean. Neat ownership inscription of W J Horsley to front pastedown. Publisher's brown cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper board. Light toning and spotting to edges and endpapers. Some rubbing and toning to spine, with the gilt dulled. Light wear to boards with slightly rubbed gilt. Very good. The first Wisden to be edited by Norman Preston, who succeeded his father Hubert in that office and continued until his death in 1980.
