Split at the bottom of front wrap has been mended internally with archival tape, old dampstain on title page and first few leaves, a good copy. A collection of evangelical sermons in the southern Black dialect. Oliver was a well-known white Presbyterian Christian evangelist from Kansas City, who migrated to California. He states in the introduction of this book that he edited and transcribed these sermons from various Black preachers. He also published Black hymns.
