Top page edges were tinted gray with stamped "SHCR". Lower page edges are stamped in red "Property of BIII." Broken gutters at second title page, at end of Introduction pg XIV, at pages 368 and 542. According to page 538 the striped cloth boards are bound in the actual cloth from the 1920's Nurses's uniform that one could buy in either Gingham or Chambray.The cloth front cover has a paper sticker with the book's title as does the loose spine for which both have missing pieces. A few stray threads from cloth starting to fray. Heavily soiled covers from use; blue ink drop and red spots on front and large stains on rear. 7 1/2 x 5 3/8 x 1 1/2 inches. A bonus bookmark was laid in by previous owner(s).
