Illustrated throughout, with drawings by Quentin Crisp. Reynolds was a British left wing writer. He was a General secretary of the No More War Movement 1933-1937. Reynolds was a Quaker and a critic of British imperialism in India. He was also a conscientious objector during the Second World War and working in the Air Raid Precautions. This work was published during the Second World War and the dustwrapper is printed on the rear of an old map. This is possibly due to paper restrictions during the War.
