Corners bumped and spine is darkened with some rubbing and some loss to tips. Hinges are a bit loose but interior is tight and clean.

Page 480 Line 2 Domininque. Covers have heavy foxing and wear around edges. Corners rounded with boards showing. Bottom 1/4" of spine missing with a tear 4" up the spine on back. Top spine end heavily frayed. Title on front cover and spine faded. Bottom of back cover torn and repaired with scotch tape. Both hinges broken but held by mull. FFEP has had bookplate partially removed and shows moisture damage (possibly from bookplate removal). FFEP also has former owner's name in pencil. Page 323 has been repaired with tape. Text has scattered page folding and signs of repeated reading. Book is askew. .

The original price of $3.00 is still present on the front flap. BJ shows fading, particularly on the spine with numerous chips and tears along edges, the upper left corner of the front contains the largest tear which measures about 2.5". Brown cloth boards underneath with gilt text on front and spine. Cloth board are mostly clean though there are some small spots along with edge bumps. The internal binding has some issues: there is a hinge crack at the front board as well as page 752. Rear hinge appears good though paper has a crease at the gutter. The remaining text pages are secure. Front pastedown contains original owner signature and bookplate and page 29/32 has a few smudge marks near the bottom, possibly from when the book was printed.
