Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Patch of sunning to front board. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge-wear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Moderate tanning to spine.

A British Doctor Borrowed The Name To Describe The Original Syndrome In 1951. Meanwhile, John Carswell Revived And Edited The First English Version. The Illustrations By Ronald Searle Are "Absurdly And Convincingly Real" (Times Literary Supplement). This Copy, A First Thus Edition, May Well Be Unread, But It Does Have Some Flaws, Including Some Light Creasing And Both A Price Tag Pull And A Pinhead Size Hole To The Front Cover. This Moderately Thick Quarto Will Probably Incur Shipping Charges Close To Twenty Dollars Canadian.
