The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. There is a dedication and date written on the top of the first end paper. The pages are otherwise clean with no soiling or tears. The title page shows 1899 as the published date. The brown covers are clean with just a hint of edgewear. I have placed a fresh mylar jacket on this old book and it looks and feels great!
