London: W. H. Allen and Co., 1848 London: W. H. Allen and Co., 1848 xv +500 pp. Vol l covers the history of India and, extensively, the history of the East India Company. Text is clean and unmarked, slight tanning, marbled endpapers. Front endpaper and first free page are stuck together. Boards are quarter-leather with banded spine with marbled paper and leather corners. Rear hinge is detached, front is holding. A matching waterstain on flyleaf and final blank page, though not into text pages, suggests that this may be a contemporary rebinding. Pictures on request. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition. Quarter Leather. Very Good/No Jacket.. First Edition.. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket.
