Wear to head and tail of spine, parts of edges and corners. Some scuffing, discoloration and staining to boards. Frontisportrait of Johann Most. Pasted-in newspaper clips to few pages throughout covering some of the text, and to frontispiece page slightly covering image. Inscribed by author on title-page "To my dear friend Arthur E. Briggs, with all my heart, Rudolf Rocker." Sporadic notes in blue ink throughout by previous owner Stephanus Fabijanovic, who was an author and leftist. Browning to pages. Page 435 loose but present. Johann Most (a.k.a. John Joseph Most) was a German-American orator and anarchist who by the end of the nineteenth century promoted the use of violence to achieve social and political change. He was born in 1846 and died in 1906. Text, newspaper clips and notes in German. Overall good condition. Rare, signed copy.
