Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with noticeable tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

Dr Stuart Smith concentrated years of observation and research of the yellow wagtail in this study. The book includes chapters on territory, display and reproduction together with a statement of the complex systematics and distribution of the species. The book also contains beautiful and accurate paintings by Edward Bradbury. Illustrated with 8 colour and 4 black and white plates. Jacket design by Clifford and Rosemary Ellis. Book in very good condition. Some patchy colour fade to the green of the buckram. Some light spotting, mainly confined to the endpapers and text block edges. Dust jacket good and unclipped. A little wear to extremities of spine. Generally a little discoloured - especially spine - and some light spotting.
