These are in printed jackets, none of which are price clipped. Jackets of volumes I and III are worn, chipped and marked, the other two much less so. The first volume has two newspaper clippings pasted into its endpapers: a brief profile and picture of Stark at the front, and a review of a bibliography of W. P. Ker to the rear (Ker was Stark's adopted godfather, introduced her to climbing, and she was with him when he died on a climb in northern Italy in 1923, as detailed in that volume).
