Signed and inscribed by Starrett in blue ink on front free endpaper. Few small chips and nicks, slight staining and rubbing to jacket; stains to lower edges of several leaves (virtually the first 50 pages and a few leaves at rear; probably stained with red wine); slight internal browning to edges and endpapers; still a very serviceable copy of an intensely fascinating work.
