Great Malvern Priory in Malvern, Worcestershire, was a Benedictine monastery from about 1075 to 1540. It is now an Anglican parish church, with the largest display of 15th-century stained glass in England and the largest collection of medieval floor and wall tiles. A mid-19th century edition of this work, finely bound with a morocco spine and ivorine boards, edged with a lacquered brass trim, and decorated to the front board with pictorial gilt. Brass trim suggests a previous removal of a now absent clasp. All edges gilt, with moire silk end papers. Accompanied by a full calf chemise with a brass clasp, lined with cream silk.
