Kyoto, Japan: Kyu Saga-Gosho Kwado Soshisho, 1940. First edition, 1940. Illustrated throught with tissue protected color plates and other illustrations in black and white. White silk cloth lettered and decorated in many colors, with slipcase. The book is in fair to good condition with age-speckled covers and some chipping to the cover lettering, spine a bit darkened, good hinges, sound text block, protective tissues heavily foxed with some unobtrusive residue foxing to the margins of the plates, pages otherwise clean, small personal bookplate on blank page opposite the title page, no other names or markings. The slipcase is complete but with some breaks, wear and old tape marks, fair only, semi-functional but repairable.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair/Fair. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
