London: Printed By and for John Watts, at the Printing Office in Wild-Court Near Lincoln's-Inn Fields IN FAIR TO GOOD CONDITION. The Armorial Stamp of the Duke of Bedford are on the front and back cover of each volume, with ownership signatures of James E. Whitney Jr. 28 August, 1896 on ffp; and the signature of Joseph Crawhall 1862 (1821-1896) woodcut artist, Sheriff and Mayor of Newcastle. Engraved frontis-piece in each volume, titles in red and black, with tail-piece vignettes. Volumes 1 and 2 are melodies only, with volumes 3-6 being melodies with basso continuo (unfigured). The flute part is printed separately after the tune and verses of each song. Uniformly bound in leather, with covers detached on volumes 2-6, volume 1 rebacked, others lacking portions of backstrips, bindings are tight.
