Description:
London: Ernest Benn, 1931. 2nd impression softcover (1st published in 1928). A small (30 pages) pamphlet intended to introduce the reader to the poetry of Lawrence, with brief introduction (Homer Wolfe) that deals with the poetry as a "short-cut" to understanding Lawrence's novels. Passionate and sensuous. Very good-- in soiled, chipped wraps (2 creased pages).. Soft Cover.

Description:
London: George Harrap & Co , 1944. An interesting piece of WWII memorabilia from the British North African campaign with a very interesting foreword by General Montgomery including his facsimile signature. The foreword expresses a sympathetic side of Monty not always acknowledged by his critics. These poems were written by soldiers in the British 8th Army during the campaign. Someone has written neatly opposite the last poem: "Nothing is ugly when seen through half a mile of sunshine." Very good+ (cocked, otherwise near fine) in very good-- dust jacket (worn at top of spine with a closed tear and small missing chip, minor wear at rest of spine--see photos). Published during the war with wartime paper shortages and restrictions. Twenty-seven poems in all, 46 pages. . 1st Edition. Hard Cover.

Description:
London: Nonesuch Press, 1930. Presumed first edition but edition not stated; no additional printings shown and that usually means a first edition for Nonesuch. Very Good (some slight separation between two signatures but still firmly bound; sunned cover edges, offsetting on endpapers; pencil gift inscription on first free endpaper) in sunned and badly torn dust jacket kept intact and presentable by BroDart cover. See scan. Introduction by "W.M.," her husband Wilfrid. The "family" flavor of this volume is completed by its publisher, Nonesuch Press, founded by her son. Largely neglected today, she was much praised during her lifetime, as the appended "Appreciations" from contemporary authors (Ruskin, Chesterton, Sackville-West, and others) demonstrate. Tennyson left a request that, upon his death, she should ascend to the laureate of England. This copy has no frontispiece portrait, and there is no evidence of its having been removed.. Hard Cover.
