1947 copyright The Saalfield Publishing Company, Akron Ohio, New York, appears to be first edition. Author Johnny Gruelle, Drawings by Ethel Hays. Hard boards colorfully illustrated with red comb spine. Boards have light wear and soiling, soft corners. Inside front board has previous owner's name (a child). Remaining pages are clean, unmarked.

Heritage Club edition with Sandglass sheet inside. Tight, like new binding with no marks, no wear. Bright boards with no fading. Slipcase is square, tight, no fading, one tiny scratch on side.
