Unique binding. 8vo size red clothbound hardcover with a floral print on front and back covers and white titles on the spine; 481 toned pages with black and white illustrations and maps. Pages have rounded top corners. Ex-library with typical treatments; professionally rebound in 1958. Bumped head and heel of spine; Pages 153/154 and 241/242 have been torn and mended with tape; there is a quarter inch tear on the bottom of the half title page, pages 22-25 have some spots, there is some soil in the margins of the foreword page and light soil to outside pages. We also noted penciled underlining on two pages and a word circled in pencil on another page. . First. Cloth. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Cutler, Merritt. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.
