A very nice edition of the classic "A Sand County Almanac", and 25 or so other essays from the great American naturalist, Aldo Leopold, with illustrations by Charles Schwartz. Binding is intact. Green cloth boards with black stamping are faded and lightly soiled with some fraying at head and tail of spine and at corners. Printed endpapers with bookplate on FFEP. Writing on half title and facing page. Text is generally clean but about 40 pages have light pencilled notations. Dust jacket is mottled and rubbed with many small tears and chips.
