All volumes have been rebound in brown buckram with reinforced hinges. Bindings are generally intact though volumes 1 and 4 have loose text pages where illustrations have been cut from the block. Volumes 1, 2, 5 and 6 have some underling and graffiti. Each volume has a number of small stains, tears or holes, none of which affect the readability of the text.
