It is the true story of a French aristocrat who came to the United States to escape the excesses of the French revolution, settling in upstate central New York. He later returned to France, some think to resume his identity as the Count of Artois, later Charles X. Stapled binding is intact. Covers are lightly soiled. Lower front corner is torn.
