Part 1 has 502pp and 42 four-color plates and Part 2 has 720pp and 64 four-color plates – many black and white photographs throughout the text of both parts. Plate #32 and pages 491,493, 497 and 499 have small nicks on the bottom edge. There is some minor water damage to a few index pages and the endpapers to Part 1. The bindings are firm, although the weight of the book blocks are causing some lifting away from the guards. Previous owner bookplates on first free endpaper in both parts. Embossed green cloth boards with silver stamping are rubbed and faded with slight fraying at corners. Endpapers and text are lightly tanned but appear otherwise clean and unmarked.
