Supplied with a FACSIMILE first edition dust jacket. This is the author's first novel published in a hard cover, AND it is the first book in the Tarzan series. McClurg published a total of 10,000 copies of the three issues of the first edition. Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875-1950) was an American author in the genres of adveenture, science fiction, and fantasy, best-known for his characters Tarzan and John Carter.
