Otherwise a good copy. First Edition and extremely rare Baku imprint of Karabekir's book including his advices to children, printed in Baku in the same year when the Red Army captured Azerbaijan. Printing types are peculiar to the Caucasus imprints. The author wrote this book in his own words to teach children "the first facts of life". Kâzim Karabekir Pasha, who took care of thousands of children who lost their parents during the First World War, is a statesman and soldier who was also closely interested in the education of these children. The letter includes full of poetic praise. It must be sent after successful diplomatic intercourse with Naples. Ferdinand II (Ferdinando Carlo) was King of the Two Sicilies from 1830 until his early death in 1859. It starts with 'Thank God alone', and goes on 'From poor Ahmad Pasha to Lord Almighty Field Marshal Amîr [ruler]. Sealed by the seal of Ahmad Basha Beg including an impressive qasidah in Arabic. Ahmed I (ibn Mustafa), born 2 December 1805 in Tunis died May 1855 at La Goulette, was the tenth Husainid Bey of Tunis, ruling from 1837 until his death. The first story in this manuscript collection is "Hikâyât al-Jumjuma" (pp. 2-8) known as "Qissat al-Jumjuma" [i.e., the Story of the Skull] starts with Basmalah. It is particularly interesting as the main protagonist (besides the skull) is referred to as Jesus, like in the Muslim and Christian versions of the tale. It's a story about a man who encounters a skull lying on the ground (often as he is walking through the wilderness in al-Sam [i.e., Damascus]). Collection includes six postcards by him sent to Mehmed RAsih Bey, Âli Türkgeldi (Sofia, Bulgaria), Satvet Lütfi Tozan, one newspaper clipping about Gerede, eight autograph letters signed 'Hüsrev' sent to Satvet Lütfi Tozan, (1889-1975), Âli Türkgeldi, 1867-1935) and beside ones which came from them to him. Some letters are more than one page. Full text. In Ottoman script. Items dated from 1920 to 1929/30 on letters and postcards. All in one envelope with Ottoman script autograph notes and name of Hüsrev Gerede on it. Letters and other material include mostly important diplomatic contents and early Republican Turkish historical info. These material is not published. Gerede was a Turkish career officer, who served in the Ottoman Army and the Turkish Army. He was also a politician and diplomat of the Republic of Turkey. He has Medal of Independence with Red-Green Ribbon.

Ömer Behçet Uz, was born in Buldan ilçe (district) of Denizli Province, Ottoman Empire in 1893. He studied in Izmir High School, which was later renamed to Atatürk High School, and in the School of Medicine of Istanbul University. After working in Istanbul, he moved to Izmir to practice pediatrics. In 1922, he founded 'Veremle Mücadele Dernegi' ("Society to Struggle Against Tuberculosis"). In 1931, he was elected as the Mayor of Izmir. In this post, he served for ten years. Dedicated to Ismail Hakki Okday, (1881-1977) who was son of last Ottoman vizier Ahmet Tevfik Pasha, groom of the last Ottoman sultan Vahdeddin, soldier, diplomat and philatelist.

Puncher holes at left side and slight stains. Kemal Öz was a politician in the period of early Republican Turkey. He was mayor of Izmit city (belediye reisi) between the years of 1931-1950.

He could be 'Mehmet Güreli (?)'. Dated 21.3.1974. He mentions Turkish short story writer Bedii Demirseren and that he sent Demirseren's story to Mehmet. He added Bedii's address to the end of the letter. Abaç graduated from Istanbul Fine Arts Academy in 1944. He opened his first exhibition in Mersin, then in Venice and Monaco. He was among the founders of the United Painters and Sculptors Association of Turkey. He worked with Leopold Levy. In his paintings before 1970, he portrayed the legendary and mythological creatures of Anatolian culture in a fairy-tale and surrealistic-fantastic style.
