Full dark blue leather over thin boards, gilt design and titles on spine and gilt design on front cover; laid paper; ribbon marker intact. Bright, clean, square covers and spine are As New but for very slight rubbing at spine ends; tightly bound; owner name and date (Christmas 1940) on front free end paper; light, clean interior. Glassine DJ is missing 1 inch chip at spine head and 1/2 inch chip at spine tail; smaller chipping along edges. 8vo, 65 pp.

Clean covers and spine; front cover has faint spots as from water splashing; light rubbing at spine ends and fore corners; tightly bound; limited, light pencil notes on table of contents at bottom, o/w clean interior. Outside doesn't indicate, but this appears to be vols 9 and 10 of a collected works. 1 vol is The Tragedy of Faust in verse; 2nd vol is Dramatic Works: Faust, prose translation; Clavigo; Egmont; The Wayward Lover; Reynard the Fox. 8vo, 878 pp.
