First Edition. Fine / near fine. Architect Dilbeck designed homes in Dallas and Tulsa. His houses are beloved by their owners and their community. They are a little quirky, always have some unusual masonry, and have a French farmhouse feel. He started in Tulsa and later moved to Dallas. You better not try to tear one down. The book is in fine, condition, no issues. The cover mimics the dust jacket, except it's in b&w. The dust jacket has just the very slightest shelf wear. First Edition, so stated. The author is an architect from Tulsa who is a Dilbeck fan. He photographed, researched, wrote and published the book himself. Well done.

Spanish text with English Forward. A great big, gorgeous scrapbook of the most grand hotel in Barcelona. The book is double sided. One side is titled Insight with details of the building and architecture (including a tipped in architectural drawing and elevation of the building). There's even a chapter on Backstage, with old photos of the kitchen, laundry and wine cellar, etc. Flip the book over and the title is Outsight. There are archival photos of Grand Balls with celebrities, weddings and whatever. There are several tipped in invitations and bits of memorabilia. Like a scrapbook. There is no copyright page, or any information about author, publisher, dates, or anything. It's also unpaginated. Presumed publishing date is 2019, by the hotel. Book is in fine, like new, unread condition.

The dust jacket has a tiny nick on the top right front cover and is near fine. This 2002 Edition is comprised of 5000 copies, 3500 in Spanish and 1500 in English. Most of the copies available for sale are the Spanish language edition.

Signed. First Edition. Fine / fine. The late Mary Gillaitt was an interior designer who wrote more than 35 books on the subject. She also had her own TV show in England. This book sums everything up. She was famous for an eclectic style which combined English traditional with mid century modern. The book and jacket are in fine, unread condition. The author has signed on the front free flyleaf (no personal inscription).

A photographic essay, by Mark Power, of the old H M Treasury building at Whitehall, London. Beautiful full page photographs of the reconstruction of the building. This edition is limited to 1500 copies (so stated). Laid in is a letter from Spencer de Grey of Foster and Partners, in London, gifting the book to John Dayton of Dallas, Texas. Mr. Dayton and his wife, Arlene, are important civic and business figures in Dallas. Also laid in is a copy of a review of the book and project from the London Sunday Times. The book has a clear plastic dust jacket. The book and jacket are in fine, like new condition.

Signed. First Edition. Near Fine / Near Fine. Opened in 1910 in London, the Goring was the first hotel in the world to offer central heating and a bathroom in every room. Although it's down the street from Buckingham Palace, heads of state would often prefer to stay at the Goring. Great stories (very British) and humorously illustrated. The book is in near fine condition with silk ribbon bookmark. There is only very slight shelf wear and a minor corner bump. The book is inscribed and signed by the late George Goring on the front flyleaf. It is also inscribed and signed by 2 other people, one of whom, I believe, is David Morgan-Hewitt, General Manager. George Goring was the third generation proprietor of the hotel and was quite a character. He recieved an OBE for services to the hotel industry.
