First Edition. Near fine. Exhibition Catalogue. First major exhibition of artist Aldo Crommelynck who worked with 3 generations of artists. The catalogue is unpaginated, but there are 53 full page representations from the 4 artists. The book has only very minor shelf wear and is near fine. Laid in is an announcement of this important exhibition at Waddington Graphics in London, in 1987. Opposite the announcement is an etching by Richard Hamilton.

Catalogue of the sculptural work of Chiricahua Apache contemporary artist Allan Houser. Collection is published by the Glenn Green Galleries of Santa Fe and Scottsdale. Book is spiral bound and unpaginated. It is divided into 4 sections: Large bronze, medium bronze, small bronze and stone steel and bronze. Printed on heavy paper the reproductions are on one side, leaving the opposite page blank. There are 32 large bronzes, 71 meduim bronzes, 12 pages of small bronzes with 3 to a page and 33 stone, steel and bronze pieces. The interior of the book is excellent. The pages are clean and unmarked. The cover has torn away from the spiral binding on the bottom and at one other place toward the top. Listed as very good. Laid in is a gallery card for the Glenn Green Galleries with a photo of Houser and 3 of his sculptures. Also laid in are 2 photographs of Houser sculptures with identifying information on the back.

Signed by Andy Warhol (twice). Seminal work of words and photographs by one of America's most important pop culture artists. Photographs of people, places and scenes of Warhol's world in the 80's. The book is in near fine condition with only the slightest shelf wear. The corners are square, the binding is tight and the pages are clean and unmarked. Warhol has signed twice, once on the cover and again on the title page. The title page signature has an inscription, which I can't read, and a giant heart, with his signature below.

A catalogue from an exhibit at the Ft. Worth Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery in Washington, DC, and the Albright-Know Gallery in Buffalo, N Y during May 1995 through March 1996. The exhibit is on Gorky's work during the period 1940-1947. Most of the 42 paintings are full page color plates. The book is new and is still in the original publishers shrink wrap. The wrap has some tears, but it has not affected the book. All the corners are square.

The jacket has been taped down on the back jacket flap and there's still 2 instances of tape residue on the back end page. Very light shelf wear on the cover. The dust jacket has shelf and edge wear and has tape reinforcing the inside of the jacket (not repair) and is listed a very good.

Artist paints impressionist landscapes, mostly in the western US, and mostly in pastels. She is known as a plein air painter. Two other artists are included, William Reese and Walt Gonske. Templeton has won many awards and is in a lot of organizations, both as a painter and as an art educator. The book is in fine condition. The jacket has some indentations on the front, but there is no paper or color loss. The artist has inscribed and signed the book on the half title page.

Murals of Diego Rivera. 12 pages of text. 8 full page color reproductions & many black and white reproductions, mostly full page. The head and tail of the spine are split for half inch. There is shelf wear and edge wear and the pages are evenly toned. The interior is clean and unmarked, except one library stamp that says "do not remove". Listed as very good-.

Large format 12" x 18", heavy paper, silk covered boards, slipcase. There are 48 full page color photographs of spectacular Asian art treasures. Each page has a photograph on the right and a description on the left. The book is in fine condition. There is slight edgewear on the inside of the front jacket flap, not visible from the front. The slipcase has a very slight rub on the top of the slipcase opening. This large, heavy item will require extra postage.

6 color plates and 37 black and white plates of the paintings of Clara Williamson, folk art painter of the Texas frontier. This book was published on the event of an exhibition, by the same name, at the Amon Carter Museum of Western Art in Ft. Worth. Ms. Williamson was 91 at the time of the book's writing and made herself available for the preparation of the book. She did not become an artist until her late 60's. The book is in near fine condition. The dust jacket has a tear down the front cover where there was a printing fault. It appears to be price clipped, but the price is still there next to where it was clipped. I don't know what that's all about. Nevertheless, the book is straight, binding tight, pages clean and unmarked.

Arthur Schomburg came to New York in 1891, from his native Puerto Rico, and immediately began documenting the lives and achievements of people of African descent. The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture has continued that endeavor ever since. Published by the New York Public Library, which always does good stuff. There are 120 images, 33 in color. They represent artists from the turn of the century up to publication. The book is in fine condition. Rare catalogue from a great exhibit.

In the late 1500's a Spanish scholar noted that the locals viewed the forest around what became Chapultepec Castle as a "sacred entity". and they would regularly prune and clean the forest. The castle was built on the hill in 1785. This book is the definitive work on this incredible space. Beautiful photography. A very large, heavy book. Most people never knew what had happened. Beautiful photography of a stunning show. The book is in near fine, unread condition. The jacket has a very small tear at the top rear spine of the jacket and a slight bump on the top back. The artist has signed on the front fly leaf (no inscription).

First Edition. Fine / fine. An account of the lives of Rosa and Miguel Cavarrubias. Artist, writer, archaelogist, philosopher, Covarrubias entertained many of the world's intelligencia. The author was a friend of Rosa and was the grandaughter of a former Mexican president. Of note to Dallasites, Covarrubias is the creater of the 60 ft. mosaic sculpture was at the entrance to the Dallas Museum of Art. The book and jacket are in fine, like new condition.
