Encased in a plain cardboard slipcover which has a lot of shelf wear and a big stain on the top, but it's structurally intact and it did its job.

USA Book News named it a Best Books Awards Finalist. The book is in fine, as new condition.

Self published book about the rebuilding of Beirut, Lebanon after the bombings in the 1970's. The cover is a double photograph of bombed out downtown vs. rebuilt downtown. I'm unsure of the date of publication or the edition. The book has small tear on the front top spine, otherwise in excellent condition. The pages are clean and unmarked.

Founded in San Francisco, on Baker Beach, in 1986, to celebrate the summer solstice. The Burning Man Festival was relocated to the Black Rock Desert north of Reno, Nevada, in 1990. It's really in the middle of nowhere. Absolutely flat high-altitude desert that is just a dry alkali bed. It gets really hot in August, and it can have blinding 60 mph winds. Since the festival has grown exponentially over the years there's a lot of logistics. This is what the book is about, festival layout and shelter, plus amazing art on a monumental scale. It doesn't get much more creative, and it lasts for a week. Then there's the 'Leave No Trace' policy that means that the site must be left just as it was found. This book is in fine, like new condition, which is rare because no hippies have thumbed it with their munchie fingers. First edition (so stated). Great book.

This is the second printing of this 1975 book. It was published in 1996 as a commemorative edition by the Copperhill Tennessee Kiwanis Club's 75th year. It is printed just like the original which looks like it was written on a typewriter. The Copper Basin straddles the Tennessee / Georgia border, not too far from North Carolina. The railroad came to the area in 1890, and a big corporation took over the mine in 1963. The book is in near fine condition, there is very slight bumping at the top and bottom of the spine. The corners are square, and the pages are clean and unmarked. There is no dust jacket, I don't think it was issued with one. Interesting history of a unique part of America.

Iredell County, North Carolina was established in 1788. The county seat, Statesville, was established the following year. Iredell county is in the west central part of the state. History, people, churches, public buildings, homes and everything else one would want to know about Iredell County. The book really is in like new condition, but it's 43 years old. Even the large gilt round seal is shiny and not rubbed. Large heavy book, 642 pages.

The late Dovey Johnson Roundtree (4-17-1914 to 5-21-2018) led a remarkable life of civil rights activism for Black and Female Americans. Graduate of the Howard University School of Law, she became one of the first officers in The Womens Army Corps, won a desegregation case regarding transportation and interstate commerce in 1955, She was among the first of the women to be ordained a minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Those are just the highlights. The book has a slight bump on the top and bottom of the spine. Near fine condition. The author has inscribed, dated and signed on the title page.

The happenings from Greer County, Oklahoma Territory in the years 1898 to 1900. Greer County used to be in Texas, but somehow it ended up in Oklahoma. It's in the southeast part of the state, if you don't count the Oklahoma panhandle. The old cowboys used to call Mangum City "tin city" because they flattened out tin cans to use as sidewalks. The book is in fine, like new condition. I don't think it was issued with a dust jacket. The author, Jodean Martin, published it herself.
